# What is Hero Finance

### The Emergence <a href="#the-big-picture" id="the-big-picture"></a>

In the current environment of all of the major coins going down and the entire market being in shambles we recognize stables are the place to be so we wanted to create a protocol where we can all benefit from good yields on stable coins so we decided to **peg to 0.1 USDC** (the price being a play on recent events with UST)

HERO is an algorithmic token pegged to USDC. The protocol’s underlying mechanism dynamically adjusts HEROs supply, trading its price up or down relative to the price of USDC, which if its nothing like recent events should stay at 1.&#x20;

Hero Finance is a multi-token protocol which consists of the following three tokens:<br>

-HERO (HERO) - Renounced \
-HERO Shares (HSHARE) - Renounced \
-HERO Bonds (HBOND) - Renounced&#x20;

## What is our goal?

The goal of this project is to give people a sustainable farming protocol that works with long term vision, exciting new features that aim to garner a large group of collective educated investors. We aim to make the $HERO token something that people will buy regardless of knowing of the underlying seigniorage protocol, giving the token terminal utility and a future to stand on it's own!

This is a long term project with extremely rewarding yields for the average investor. We plan on doing things different so that you can sustain an ever growing portfolio here at Hero Finance with many benefits to holding our tokens.

One of the primary shortcomings of past algorithmic tokens has been a lack of use cases, leaving no good reason for somebody to want to use or hold them. In order to successfully maintain the peg in the long-run, the Hero Finance team will maintain a focus on innovation around enhanced functionality and use cases. The Hero Finance token will support a Multi-Dapp ecosystem on the Avalanche Network. Please see our Roadmap.
